A graduate of Georgetown University Law Center (LL.M. with distinction) and and the Chicago-Kent College of Law, Jonathan Clark Green has arbitrated tort cases under $30,000 since 1996. In addition, Jonathan Clark Green currently serves as senior counsel and assistant corporation counsel supervisor at the Corporation Counsel's Office in Chicago, where he is responsible for all aspects of civil rights and torts litigation.
As part of his work in Chicago, Mr. Green regularly works with subjects such as protective orders, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) related matters, and ESI discovery. ESI discovery refers to the use of electronically stored information (ESI) in legal cases.
According to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, the use of ESI in a legal case requires both sides to work together and develop a discovery protocol that governs how data will be made available to each party. The protocol itself often touches on issues that range from data collection, scope, parameters and document format, to data security. Once a protocol is finalized by agreement among the parties, ESI discovery proceeds, with any disputes to be monitored and resolved by the Court.
